Progressive Music Donates Music to Newark, NJ Public Schools

On Wednesday, July 12, 2006, Bill May from Newark Public Schools in Newark, NJ came to Progressive Music to pick up nearly $15,000 in donated sheet music and method books. The music will be used in music classrooms of a district that serves over 40,000 children in the Newark area.

The connection to the Newark Public Schools was made through help from Bob Morrison at the Music For All Foundation.

"We're glad these books can go to good use in such a large school district," said Lorry Yednak, Progressive Music manger. "With so much news of music and arts being cut all around the country, we're glad we can do our little part to help out a district that can really put this music to good use."
